Why did I get a notice from the irs when I set up payments?

I owe the irs from when my ex filed my taxes and messed them all up, and I set up payments and already paid some so why is it sending me a notice?

Why did I get a notice from the irs when I set up payments?

If the information you received from the IRS is not clear you should contact them.
