Why did I get a larger refund than what Turbo Tax Delux indicated my refund should be?

According to my Turbo Tax Deluxe the return that I filed, Married filing Joint return, with both individuals being retired, my refund should have been $6567.00. Today I received a refund of $7306.00. I double checked the forms and downloaded all of the updates with no changes to taxes due.

The government may have made a correction to your tax return, resulting in a higher than anticipated refund. You'll get an official explanatory letter when this happens. If you would like to confirm with the IRS that this is indeed the case, you can call them at 800-829-1040.
