This is a program glitch. The message that the Illinois forms are unavailable is false. I have spent hours with TurboTax support and none of their suggested solutions work, including the TTState clean download or reinstalling. Rather shameful.
But you can input all your state data into TurboTax and see (but not print) the state forms in the forms mode. You can then go to the Illlinois Department of Revenue state tax website and copy these forms into the website and do a free e-file. The state’s website lets you print or make a PDF of your return. It doesn’t take that long and it saves you the ripoff $29.95 that TurboTax charges for the state e-file. Still, it would be nice if the TurboTax program actually worked and allowed CD-ROM users to print their returns.
