While getting ready to file returns for 2018 I found several receipts dated 2017 can I include them in my 2018 return?

No. You cannot include information from 2017 on your 2018 tax return. What were the receipts for? If they needed to be included on your 2017 tax return, you would have to amend your 2017 tax return to include them.
