I created and printed an amended tax return for 2017. I would like to know exactly what to send my state (CA).
Here is what the TurboTax PDF has:
- The PDF created by Turbo Tax has 90 pages.
- pages 1 - 50 appear to be related to my federal return
- Page 51 is a cover page with the title "File by Mail Instructions for your 2017 California Amended Tax Return". It says: Your amended tax return - Form 540 with Schedule X.
- Form 8453-OL says "DO NOT MAIL THIS FORM TO THE FTB"
- Pages 53-58 are Form 540
- Page 58 is California Schedule X
- Pages 59-60 are Schedule CA (540)
- Pages 61-63 are California form 3801
- Pages 64-65 are Schedule E
- Pages 66-67 are Form 3885A
- Page 68 is a two year comparison
- Page 69 says "California Electronic Filing Information Worksheet"
- Page 70 is another cover page with "Your amended return checklist"
- There are 20 more pages of forms after that.
Exactly what should I send my state? I would think it is pages 53 to 58, but I am not sure. Is "Schedule CA (540)" part of form 540?
