Did you print, sign, and mail your amended return Form 1040X and any associated forms? It cannot be efiled.

About 3 weeks after you mailed it, it should show up in this IRS tool, where you can check the status:
https://www.irs.gov/filing/individuals/amended-returns-form-1040-x/wheres-my-amended-return-1

It can take the IRS up to 16 weeks to process an amended return.
