Your federal refund comes from the
IRS treasury department while your state refund will come from your state
treasury department. They generally come at separate times.
You can use your State
Department of Revenue's website to check the status of your state
tax refund. Processing times vary from state to state and it's not
uncommon to receive your federal refund before state; or vice versa.
If it's been longer than 21 days since you
filed your return, consider contacting the IRS directly to inquire about the
