Do you have a TurboTax Online account?

We'll help you get started or pick up where you left off.

When I look up my tax return, it still states that no tax returned has been filed. I was accepted 2/1/24 and TurboTax states it was processed then. Will I get my return?

I had to verify my identity, and tried to amend my tax return with my personal identification code provided and then it rejected my return. Will my return still be processed since it originally was accepted 2/1/24? I confirmed my identity prior to amending.

Once the IRS accepts your original return for processing, TurboTax gets no information from the IRS.  No one at TT knows you verified your identity or knows anything the IRS is doing with your return.  Your information will come only from the IRS.  Use the IRS refund site or call the IRS.

TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2023 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

https://www.irs.gov/refunds

To  call the IRS:IRS:  800-829-1040  hours 7 AM - 7 PM local time Mon-Fri

Listen to each menu before making the selection.

First choose your language. Press 1 for English.

Then do NOT choose the first choice re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line.

Instead, press 2 for "personal income tax".

Then press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment".

Then press 3 "for all other questions."

Then press 2 "for all other questions."  It should then transfer you to an agent.
