What is doing the saying??? If that's a date provided by TurboTax, that is an estimate based on a common 21-day timetable. If that's a date shown at the IRS "Where's My Refund" tool, the IRS says to allow up to 5 days for variations in bank procedures.

Here's another possible twist for SOME people. It may or may not apply to you.
If you had any TurboTax fees that you chose to pay out of your Federal refund, the funds first go from the IRS to an intermediary bank where the fees are subtracted. Then that intermediary bank sends the rest to your bank (or card) in a second direct deposit. If you DID use that method, you can look up your refund at the third-party company that handles that--SBTPG. Use the "For taxpayers" portal at:

If you did NOT pay any fees that way, then this paragraph does not apply to you.
