What's taking my refund so long? I have code 1541 on IRS site.

@Palex that happened to me. I got a CP05 notice saying I was under review. Nothing else as of now is needed from my end. They said I have to wait 21 days and if they need anything from me they will send me another letter. Hopefully that's not the case and I can get a DDD soon. Otherwise I have to provide whatever info they request from me and wait another 21 days. Hopefully tomorrow we get an update

This is third Saturday now that it’s been at processed .

I know how u fee @Palex. Nothing on my end and then got and email from my mail service with another letter. So I’m guessing it’s the their  low life  60 day letter. Good thing I called an TA

Mine still says processing also but the TA said it would be there on the 20th. So if u got a TA urs probably might not change, so just check ur account ever once in a while

I've followed this thread a while and wanted to offer a glimmer of hope.
Filed 1/28
accepted 1/29
10 days of processing
Reference 1541 shows up
10 days later it disappears
WMR now reads accepted and processing
I call get told should be receiving letter March 12th
I call again and am told on a 45 day wait
4 days later (today) it reads I should have my refund by the 20th

Still no letter recieved and obviously not waiting 45 days

I know every case is different but just wanted to share mine in case someone's is similar.

@shak4z thank u ya it helps and ya everyone is different. It’s like everyone doesn’t know what’s going on and it’s so annoying. Your said accepted and processing? Mine only said received and processing

Mine says the same thing @Palex after going through all that stuff it jumped back to recurved and processing and got that letter yesterday stating they need another 60 days. Haha **bleep** them. I’m getting this **bleep** straight as soon as the TA calls me

Yeah @Monty ! Like I literally got both letters back to back haha. 45 days and then 60 days.. we’ll let me know what happens.. I know u will. I’ll take your advice and call a TA tomorrow

Yea call first thing in the morning. I called at exactly 7am est. only took me about a hr an a half total time in the phone. And I had to blow smoke up their butt and tell them that my car broke down and I can’t get to work and they approved me

@Monty thanks for the advice dude.. we’ll to be honest I’m not struggling for money as bad as some people are, so I don’t want to take someone’s place if someone else needs it more.
BUT , lol I just want to know if I really need anything further so I can get it done sooner than later.
I don’t want to find out in APRIL that I need to amend or this or that

@Palex I know I’m not that bad either but u won’t take someone’s spot and by the look of it if we don’t get one we will be waiting past April. I’m not hurting totally but things r really tight for me to the point where if something goes wrong I’m screwed
