What if i didnt get a second letter from irs

Last yr i claimed my brother and irs sent me a letter requestig proof he lived with me or they wont release my refund. Some days later they released my refund and i never got a 2nd letter from them requesting proof. This year i did not clam my little brother, will it affect my returns this year because i didnt get a 2nd letter from theminsisting that i send proof.

This will probably not affect the current year's refund since they released your prior year's refund without you sending the IRS any information (regardless of the fact they did not send you a second notice). Plus you are not claiming a dependency deduction for your brother in the current year.
