What happens when I amend my return and the second return has a smaller return?

When you start the amend process, the refund that is shown in TurboTax is reset to zero. 

You will still get the original refund if you were due one based on your original tax return. The amended return will show the difference you owe, or that you will get back as a refund. If you are due an additional refund based on the amended return, it will come separately in the form of a paper check.

and what if the amended tax return disqualified me for a "credit" of some sort, how would I go about refunding or repaying that balance to the IRS?

That credit would show in your taxes owed on the amended return.  Did it show that you owed taxes based on the amended return or that you were getting a refund?  If you owe, you mail the payment with the amended return when you file it (it has to be filed by mail per the IRS rules)

Well my first return was granted a credit of some 325$ and after adding an additional w2 I was above the credits income cap, how do I refund that credited amount from the first return? And how via turbo tax can I find more info regarding the Amended return I filed after my initial return?

How can I track my amended return? after filling the second return I cant find any sort of record or tracking info on it?
