I filled out my 2021 tax return using Turbotax and submitted them. I'm sure I entered everything correctly. However, I got a document from them (which I now can't find) saying that a mistake or mistakes were made on them. (Now, instead of getting $1500 back from them, I now OWE them over $1000.)
Trying to contact them via phone is very hard, since they're always busy.
Would a tax preparer help me?

A tax preparer may be able to take a look at your return and your tax documents to determine if they can find any errors that you may have made.
However, you need to locate the letter from the IRS in order to fully understand what the problem was with your return. Based on the fact that you received a letter about the 2021 tax return this quickly, perhaps the difference was in reporting whether or not you received the third stimulus payment.
If you reported on your return that you did not receive it, but the IRS records show otherwise, then the IRS would have changed your return.
