Actually you can expect your refund as early as the first week of March IF everything is correct. Stop setting upsetting hopes for the people who really need their refund. We all know that if we claimed EIC or ACTC we won’t get an update until the 15th of February or after!!!
NO, they can’t process your return until the 15th of February or after. You could get your refund as early as the first week of March if everything is correct!!
Okay cause when I checked my refund status I wasn’t sure it that was normal or not!
It is possible that the IRS has put the status of your return is received and being processed. That just means that they have received and are reviewing your return. Just because the IRS has said they will not begin processing returns with EIC and ACTC until February 15th or after, that does mean that they cannot start the process of reviewing some of these returns. It also does not mean that you will get a refund any sooner. It just means that they have received and are reviewing the return and that is all.
So after February 15th my status will change and they will provide me with a date for my refund?
Correct!
Does this mean they bout to approve it

I have a question?
At first my refund status said accepted. Now as of today it says they have received my tax return & it is being processed. I'm confused? Why was it accepted & then now it's being processed?
@Bturnage How can we help you? We are happy to assist, please comment back with your question.
Processing means last step before finalizing approval. If your transcript is printable or you are able to request it, more than likely you have been approved and your date for deposit/check arrival is being set.
Accepted and being processed have two different meanings. Your return is being processed means that your tax return is being processed, by the IRS.
To be clear, you are asking what does processing mean. I know we know WHO is processing the tax return, but what does that mean for you?
It basically means you are in review. Like finalizing. You will know if you are approved when they have completed ✅ your tax return. If everything is in order you are likely to be approved.
