Want refund advance but don’t have w-2

I have my paystubs and usually go to tax preparer, but want to try myself this year. As I’m attempting to apply for refund advance, it’s seems like I’m doing my actual taxes. Asking me for w-2 I don’t have yet.

TurboTax is not ofering refund advance loans at this time.   In the past several years, there have been refund advance loans offered during January until mid-February.  But the loan has to be offered to you when you are filing---you cannot apply for it.  And you had to agree to have your refund put on a credit karma card.  We have no information at this time as whether the loans will be offered in January 2024.

As for preparing a tax return with a pay stub----that is a bad idea.  Your pay stub will not match the W-2 that your employer will issue by the end of January.  Wait for your W-2 and prepare your tax return with the correct information.  The IRS will not begin to accept e-files until at least late in January.
