I opted to pay my tax prep through my taxes. I filed 2/3 and I’ve yet to receive it. Today I see a charge to turbo tax of $321.53. Are they allowed to take money from your account even if you haven’t received your refund yet?

Yes, sadly, they are allowed to take money from your account-----you signed an agreement that said they can when you chose to have your fees deducted from your federal refund. They must have sent you several emails by now to alert you to the upcoming withdrawal. You could have called to delay it.
TURBOTAX TOOK MONEY OUT OF MY ACCOUNT
Did you choose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund? Is your refund taking an unusually long time to arrive? Or was your refund seized to pay a debt you owed? if so, you signed an agreement that says TT can withdraw its fees from your account. TurboTax would have sent several emails to you before they took the money out of your account.

Turbo Tax says......
We understand that these are unprecedented times and we’re committed to helping our customers who are experiencing hardships. If you’re in need of assistance, call us by the Tuesday prior to your debit date at 1-888-808-1723 to speak with a trained specialist and mention “auto-debit”, or visit TurboTax Support.
Mee to about the same time but still being processed
No I called and they had a whole different email from the one I was communicating with and sign my order with. No idea who the other person is.
No one in the user forum can resolve a billing issue. If you have a question about your TurboTax fees or billing, make sure you use the word “billing” in your request for help. Do not use the word “refund.”
