Unable to correct bank account number
If you are wanting to update your banking information that transferred in from last year then please see the link below: https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/5619072
If you have already e-filed your return and it was accepted, you will be unable to change your banking information and your refund will not come via direct deposit if the account information is incorrect. However, don't worry! You should receive notice from the IRS when they cannot complete the direct deposit and this notice will come via US Mail. This notice will let you know that a paper check should arrive shortly. Please see the following link for more info on the IRS notice you will receive: https://www.irs.gov/individuals/understanding-your-cp53a-notice

See this IRS website on how to cancel your payment - https://www.irs.gov/payments/pay-taxes-by-electronic-funds-withdrawal
- Once your return is accepted, information pertaining to your payment, such as account information, payment date, or amount, cannot be changed. If changes are needed, the only option is to cancel the payment and choose another payment method.
- Call IRS e-file Payment Services 24/7 at 1-888-353-4537 to inquire about or cancel your payment, but please wait 7 to 10 days after your return was accepted before calling.
- Cancellation requests must be received no later than 11:59 p.m. ET two business days prior to the scheduled payment date.
After cancelling your payment, go to this IRS website to pay the taxes owed - https://www.irs.gov/payments
