TurboTax provided a certified amended return, which shows a refund amount. I filed it. However, it was adjusted by the California FTB, apparently because of a calculation error or unaccounted for tax rule or clause. California FTB states I owe taxes and a penalty now. Accordingly, how do I have TurboTax pay the penalty and tax owed as a result of their mistake?

What do you mean by certified amended return? TurboTax has an accuracy guarantee that will pay any penalties (not taxes owed) resulting from inaccurate calculations. Here is how to make an accuracy guarantee claim: https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1901269-how-do-i-submit-a-claim-under-the-turbotax-100-accurate-ca...
