transferring data from online to desktop ANSWERED BELOW

I have used turbotax online for several years.  I was getting ready in October to do my 2023 taxes online THEN our state was declared a disaster area so I procrastinated and did not do my 2023 online.  Now, unfortunately, I cannot use the 2023 online filing (even though I had already paid for it at some point.)  I purchased the 2023 desktop version from Amazon and installed it.  I wanted to transfer the information from my previously filed 2022 tt online version to my 2023 desktop version.  I have rental income and have several schedule E's that I really don't want to have to retype all  those on the desktop version.  I can save the 2022 online tax document as a PDF file but I don't see any option to save it as the type of file necessary to transfer the info to a desktop version.  PLEASE tell me there is a way to save it with the necessary extension instead of a PDF so I won't spend hours retyping all those Schedule E's into the desktop version.  Sorry for the long post but I tried to put all the relevant info in.  Thank you in advance for ANY help from anyone that can help me.

You should be able to save it as a .tax2022 data file.   In fact people always ask how to save the pdf because they can only save the .tax file.  Is there a button to amend?  That will download the .tax file.

How did you find the .tax2022 file?   Did you get it transferred into a new 2023 return?  That link I gave you wasn’t exactly the right  one, I got mixed up.

I opened my online acct, pulled up my 2022 tax documents and hit amend. It asked me a bunch of questions about why or what I wanted to amend. I clicked on “other” (I think that was the button name) and it opened another page. There was a save as button and I saved it as a .tax file. Once it saved on my desktop under downloads I cancelled my amend request and closed the online version out. I opened the desktop version and transferred the .tax file and opened it to make sure all my schedule E info was there (about 15 of them) and everything looked good. I really appreciate your help. According to TurboTax answers it makes it seem that you cannot transfer from online to desktop. But you ROCK and got around it.   I am so thankful you answered so quickly because I was about to go in full panic mode lol.
