I've never had an issue with TurboTax until this year. I received my refund from TPG and not sure why. The refund I received is way less than the refund turbotax showed I would get. This also happened to my son, whom also did his taxes with TurboTax. When will we receive what I was supposed to get.

Does the IRS website indicate that you were sent less than what was reported on your federal tax return Form 1040 Line 34? - https://www.irs.gov/refunds

If so, you will need to wait for the IRS to send you a letter which will have the changes the IRS made to the return which changed the refund. If you disagree with the IRS there will be a procedure in the letter to dispute the IRS changes.

If not, and you requested to have the TurboTax account fees paid from the federal tax refund, then you will need to contact the third party processor for the status of your tax refund, Santa Barbara Tax Product Group, using their website - https://www.sbtpg.com/

You said you received the federal tax refund from TPG. The only way that Santa Barbara Tax Products Group would receive the federal tax refund from the IRS is if you selected to have the TurboTax account fees paid from the federal tax refund.

Do you have a credit card statement showing that you paid the TurboTax account fees?

The federal tax refund would have been sent directly to the bank account you selected for direct deposit on your tax return if you paid the TurboTax account fees with a credit card.
