Third stimulus check

Received my refund last week by direct deposit . Checked get my payment on irs site and keeps telling me that my information don’t Match their records. Yet, I can still put my information in on where is my refund and it has no issue with the information I put in there. It makes no sense because I haven’t changed anything and they have all the information since they just refunded my taxes into my bank account that I’ve had for years. I am eligible for the stimulus check so I’m wondering whether I’ll ever get it?

Third stimulus check

When you see the information doesn't match their records, it is because the log in failed. Since your refund was deposited successfully, you will likely get the third stimulus if you are still eligible. The rules have changed for the third payment.

The account will be locked for 24 hours. Enter your birthdate in this format: MM/DD/YYYY. Enter your address without the city and state.

I received the first 2 stimulus payments by direct deposit and I meet all of the eligibility requirements for the 3rd one as well

Remember that today is the first day that the tool is operational.

 

IRS FAQ Why is the IRS Get My Payment tool showing 'Payment status unavailable'? states:

 

The IRS updates its tool to show taxpayers where and how EIP funds will be delivered once they have processed a payment.

 

If you are seeing a status that indicates your payment status is unavailable it means that either:

  • the IRS has not yet processed your payment OR
  • you are not eligible for a stimulus payment.

Although you may want to check the tool regularly, the payment status is only updated once per day.
