What days of the week will IRS do direct deposit for tax refunds?

The IRS issues refunds every business day, Monday through Friday (except holidays).

The IRS moved to the Modernized E-file System (MEF) in 2013 (2012 tax year). The IRS only issued refunds once per week under the old system.
