A month ago my refund was shown me 1541 status now it says We have received your tax return and it is being processed.what does this means?

It did not work for mi either i called maybe because i told them i had a 45 day letter... still told me i had to wait atleast 2 more weeks before calling them

Sorry! The TA told me I have to wait the 60 days. And said they will contact me if they need any information I just have to wait. Also that they didn't start processing mine until the 4th of March. Not very helpful at all.

On hold Now waiting to find out what the "delay" has been. Pleeeaaassee jus give me a date. Will post after since many of us have been in the same situation for way too long. Never again will I file on opening day. And Turbotax has lost their mind thinking I will allow them to deduct $85 from my bank account!! FrustratedBeyondWords

Well the wait wasn't too long. I did get a very nice helpful lady..BUT...they are reviewing my income due to the size of my refund (1 child), versus the amount of federal taxes withheld, which was 0. This is nothing new. I've worked full-time and had only $11 withheld in previous years. My point is I have to wait until April 29. If no DD, letter asking for more info. etc is sent. I can see the IRSs side but the time frame is crap. Even the rep was put aback when I said I filed and was accepted Jan 28. Hopefully this helps someone. I will continue to update you all.

I’m not sure if anyone knows the answer to this —- we had to refile our 2015 taxes by mail (my husband never realized they were rejected). At the time we lived in another place so we refiled and now we have been waiting almost a month since we sent them in and haven’t heard anything. Is there a chance they would have sent it back to our old address if there was an issue or would they send something to our current most up to date address?

@thericandeacon they would send it to the current address on your tax account. They won’t update your address until they processed your current return except if you have been receiving letters from them at your current address then it was updated but who truly knows each department looks at a different screen
