I completed my taxes on 1/26/21 on 2/11/21 I received email confirmation from Turbo Tax stating the IRS has accepted my taxes, I have check periodically with IRS.GOV to track my refund and I have received no date as to when my taxes will be deposited, it just shows that my taxes are still being processed , When I check TurboTax under my account the blue line is all the way across THIER estimated date of when I should have gotten my taxes return which was 3/4/2021, I have attempted multiple times to contact IRS and each time I follow the directions listed on Turbo tax of what to do when its been over 21 days , I get all the way where I need to be and they call states the call volume is too high try again later. I am really frustrated I have filed my taxes with Turbo tax for 8 yrs in a role and I have never had this problem before , NEVER. I just would like to know what is going on any update would be nice.

The 2020 tax year has been extraordinary. There is a general backlog, in part because some folks who don't normally file returns are now doing so because of the stimulus. So the number of returns the IRS is handling has increased. In fact, 35 million 2020 returns were filed the first week alone, and the IRS is still processing several million 2019 returns left over from the month long COVID shutdown.
and that is understandable, maybe TurboTax should state what you just stated when that question is asked instead of giving steps to contact the IRS knowing you aren’t gonna be able to get ahold of anyone due to call volume being so high.
Same! Very frustrating
No update from the IRS yet. Still pending smh
Not sure about y’all but I still haven’t received my refund. As a matter of fact- everyone that I know who used TurboTax is still in limbo. Friends who used other options such as taxact received their returns weeks ago. And yes they claimed EITC. This is beyond ridiculous
The IRS is behind on processing many returns due to COVID-19 and to many new tax law changes.
Here is the best way to contact the IRS to see if they have any information on why your return is still processing:
Call them at 1-800-829-1040. They are open Mon - Fri from 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM. The best time to reach them is 8:00 AM your time.
Get to a live person fastest: Press 1 for English, then press 2 for Personal Income Taxes, and then push 1, then 3, then 2, then 0# when it asks for your social security number, then 2.
Lol that don’t work. I’ve tried it several times and there’s too much call volume then hangs up.
Correction....DO NOT ENTER YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER . Use your tax Id number Or will kick you off every time. As I've spoke to them after going through all the bs. Mine was accepted Feb 13th and have had people ik file the same I'm filing but with different Filing companies And have already Received Theirs. All mine says is it's still being processed and will give you a refund date when available . That's it and was told on phone if nothing in 10 weeks....call back. Wont be using tt for year 9 that I do know
It will Work. Use employee identification number Not your social security number and you will Get Through .
Use your employer Identification number I meant. Keep calling you Will get through
Same Here. You can get Through Use employee Identification number Not social security number and you will get through
Please see this discussion for help getting through to a live agent at the IRS. @smitty152473 DMC
