When I initially attempted to file my 2022 taxes, they were rejected because I omitted the 1095A document. After fixing the error, the I received emails from TurboTax that both State and Federal tax return filings were Accepted.
However, a month later, I received a corrected W2 from my employer because they forgot to report that I had diverted $150 towards an ESPP, so the original W2 omitted both the ESPP figure and the Earned Income, Wages, Tips was $150 short.
I have not yet received any further communication from TurboTax or IRS regarding my already filed taxes since the email indicating that my filing was "Accepted" as of 3/10/23. After some brief googling about receiving a Corrected W2 post-filing, I was left a bit confused if/when it was my responsibility to amend my tax filings or if it is better to wait for the initial filing to be fully processed.
I hope this information is clear enough, and I appreciate any insight and guidance. Please let me know if you need any more information to gain the necessary clarity of my issue. Thank you in advance for any assistance!
