Tax Year 2020 - Return has been accepted by both state and federal. The projected refund date was 3/27. The state refund was received. The IRS site still says in process on 4/13. Why?

Yes, The IRS have backlog of income tax returns to be processed due to forms needed  to be updated and/or processing of stimulus payments. The IRS started processing electronically filed income tax returns on a first in, first out basis in February 12, 2021  The refunds are processed within 21 business days after IRS acceptance of the electronically filed return.

If you haven't received your federal refund, you can check the IRS website under Refunds tab to check the status of your return.

I did receive the notice from both Federal and State returns were accepted on March 21, 2021.  I have not received my refunds as of April 29, 2021.  When I check with IRS web site, I am told that my return has not been processed!  What is going on!!!!!!!!!

Sorry that you are having an issue with the IRS.  TurboTax does not issue refunds or Stimulus checks.  TurboTax is a tax preparation platform.  If you have submitted your return to the IRS, then TurboTax is out of the picture.  IRS is forbidden to discuss your information with TurboTax because of privacy laws.  There could be several reasons why you have not received your Stimulus or refund.

The IRS is seriously backlogged due to all the new tax laws and extra stimulus filings, as well as unprocessed 2019 returns left over from the COVID shutdown.  Lots of other folks are still waiting (some since mid-February), so please continue to be patient.  Also see:
