On the turbo tax app it states my return has been accepted however on the IRS website it does not state accepted yet. I also received the emails saying they were accepted. It’s just the IRS site and app that it doesn’t state accepted yet. Why is that? And what should i go by?

This is normal. It can take anywhere from a few hours to 3 weeks to update. Until the IRS starts processing it on their own, you may not find record of it or the website may say that you have put in incorrect information when tracking your federal refund. As your return moves through the system, the status of it will be updated accordingly. Continue checking the Where’s My Federal Refund?  tool for updates. Updates are made daily, usually overnight. You may also download the IRS2Go app to check your Federal refund status.

Note: The IRS expects to issue most refunds in less than 21 days after being accepted. Taxpayers who claim the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) or the Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC) will experience a refund hold and a delay in processing.

But does that mean I take turbo taxes accepted response and know the IRS have accepted it but haven’t updated the status yet?

Accepted means your return was received and the basics (such as the correct social security number) seem to be in order. They IRS system will update once they begin to process your return.  There's no way of knowing exactly when the IRS will update as TurboTax does not have access to any information regarding your tax refund once it has been submitted and accepted by the IRS and state department.
