Why is my tax return still pending? I filed it on the 27th of January and is still pending and haven't received an email or any information yet. Says 24 to 48 hours but nothings happened. Anyone else having this issue?

Here is a great help article to explain why the return is still showing pending.
Well considering it's been 4 days I'm gonna say it's way past the first 48 and the second 48 hours that was in the article. Probably happening due to short staff at irs
I would appreciate a real answer for those of us who have been waiting for more than 48 hours with no email. The link you sent just tells us that we should have gotten an email that we haven't got yet.
Please know that is the IRS that has to approve your return, not Turbo Tax. The timeframe varies, but normally it takes 24-48 hours. Also, the identity-protection safeguards implemented by the IRS in recent years may account for longer wait times. Eventually, you will receive an email letting you know whether or not your return has been accepted or rejected. TurboTax FAQ "What does Pending mean? "states, "Pending simply means that your e-filed return is on its way and that the government hasn't accepted or rejected it yet.
If you contact the government or try to look up your refund status while your return is still pending, don't be surprised if they tell you "no record found." This is normal; until the government starts reviewing and processing your return, they won't have any record of it."
