I can only access the where's my refund tool using my spouse's SSN but not my own. I filed jointly with my wife, why is this happening?

The IRS maintains its records based on the first SSN on the return.

Actually mine is the first SSN on the return, not my wife’s

The revenue agencies will tell you to look up a return via Taxpayer SSN not Spouse SSN. 

Since you two are both on the same return, is this important?

Everything is different now after COVID.

Yes, my tax return status disappeared from where’s my refund. Why did this happen? When I tried calling the IRS since it has already been 21 days since I filed, they said they were unable to handle my call for high call volume.
