Hi there,
I filed my 2025 Form 1040, but it's rejected due to incomplete Form 8915F. Printed out the same form and filled it out: the amounts on Ln. 23 and Ln. 26 ended different than the amounts on the Form in TT. I used Worksheet 4 from IRS Instructions to figure out the taxable amount for 2025 year.
Should I correct the amounts on TT Form 8915F and file the return again or wait for software update, which can take a quite long time?
To be precise: 2024 Disaster Distribution $5000, spread over 3 years.
First yr Taxable amount is $1667.
Thanks!

Let's try a few things:
Line 23 is the 2024 amount. Check to see if the program is picking up last year's information correctly from your 1099-R entry.
Be sure the 8915F is filled in with the exact same FEMA number for a data match. This can cause an IRS reject.
When you enter the 1099-R, be sure you go through all the questions.
If that doesn't work:
A full or corrupted cache can cause problems in TurboTax, sometimes you need to clear your cache (that is, remove these temporary files).

Thank you for your advice!
I did exactly as you said but it didn't work out. Checked for TT updates and there weren't any.
When I go to Your 2025 Income Summary screen on TT, in Retirement Plans and Social Security, TT says "Needs Review".
I checked Worksheet 4 for Form 8915F, it gives different amount for this year's Ln. 23. Maybe I need to use that amount? Now I am stuck and can't e-file my taxes because there is something missing.
