The IRS estimates 9
out of 10 to receive their refund within 21 calendar days. This is
calculated from the date the E-File is successfully submitted to the
IRS so the soonest that refunds will likely go out is around February 19 (since
the IRS officially opened January 29 this season).
However,
by law, the IRS cannot issue refunds claiming the Earned
Income Tax Credit (EITC) and the Additional
Child Tax Credit (ACTC) until approximately Feb. 27, 2018 -- if you chose direct
deposit and there are no other issues with the tax return.
