tax refund

The IRS sent me a letter stating that my taxes were filed wrong and now I owe 55$. What is with that?

The IRS letter contains your revised tax return numbers. Compare it the tax return you filed to see what the difference is. Perhaps you didn't claim an income tax form or, after IRS review, you don't qualify for a deduction or credit.

The IRS does not notify TT.  Could you have made a data entry error?
