My Fed payment was scheduled to be made Feb 28. I found that in the worksheet. My state was scheduled to be paid on 4/15/2024. i changed that to today. To date, the Fed payment has not been debited to my checking account and i am getting a bit worried.

No need to worry, perhaps your return has not been processed through the IRS yet. Once the return is processed you will see the payment withdrawal. You should set up an IRS online account to monitor your return activities.

I set up the IRS Online account and it said that my payment was returnee du to "Non transaction account". I called Turbotax and they told me to call the IRS. I did that and was placed on permahold for almost 40 minutes when I was cut off. Did it again, same result. I actually did go ear=to=ear with the IRS in order to be sent to the right but nobody knew what my Non transaction Account meant.

That sounds like the Federal return has not been processed yet. If it has not been processed then there are no transactions listed for the tax year mentioned. TurboTax does not have access to the status of your income tax return once the IRS has accepted the return. All inquiries should be made to the IRS. Keep in mind that this is filing season and the phones will be very busy. No interest will accrue on a 2023 tax return until April 15, 2024.
