How do I check my e-file status?
Yes, I know that I can (and did) check the status of my return. It indicates successfully sent and received by the IRS. I am still leery and concerned I did not get any confirmation emails.
I can't blame you. I always get a confirmation email from TurboTax, too.
Did you check your Spam folder (just in case)?
First thing I did was check SPAM folder. No Email.
Second thing I did was check the filing status. Yes, successfully transmitted. 24 hours later, status was updated to successfully accepted by the IRS.
Third thing I did was check that my email address was correct. Yes, it is correct.
I should note I used the Download version of Turbo Tax to file. If that has any bearing?
I use Desktop platform exclusively, and I've always received a confirmation email for both transmission and acceptance. Go figure.
But do this:
Click on your FILE tab. Underneath that, you'll see the option to Check E-File Status.
Once you do this, your return will show as officially Accepted in the TurboTax program. See screenshot (with the worst underline in the history of humanity). 😉
EDITED AFTER POSTING: I'm so sorry! I NOW see that you've already been through this exercise. I have no explanation as to why you didn't receive the email from TurboTax. I think you're safe, though, in knowing that you've successfully filed and your return has been accepted.
