I got an email this morning saying my stimulus registration was rejected after getting an email that said it was accepted 5 days ago. It still says accepted when I log into my account. Are there extra steps I need to take?

Be very careful what emails you answer. Sadly, there are nefarious people wanting to steal taxpayer information by posing as being from official resources.

Avoid phishing scams and spoofed sites
If needed, you can go to IRS Identity Verification Service for online support.
We are still waiting for IRS guidance regarding updating or providing direct deposit information for the stimulus payments and how they will be distributed to these type of accounts. We will have more information once the government finalizes the details.
