Stimulus Check

On TurboTax it says the IRS accepted my return for 2019. I ended up owing this year so I put my bank info so they can start making payments. I also needed to mail in some additional forms but have yet to do so. Does this mean the IRS hasn’t fully received my filings for 2019 and accepted it yet? I ask because I didn’t get a stimulus check sent to the bank info I provided for me to start making payments.

I should also add that I didn’t file for 2018!

The IRS may not have updated your information.  You may want to try researching your IRS account with the IRS Get My Payment application.  This new IRS application will allow you to:

    • Check your payment status,
    • Confirm your payment type such as direct deposit or check,
    • Enter your bank account information for direct deposit if the IRS does not have your direct deposit information and has not sent your payment yet.

Thank you so much for your response! I’ve checked on there and it says Payment Status Not Available. According to the information they have on file, they cannot determine if I’m eligible for a payment at this time. I’ll also add that I don’t have backed child support.
