Stimulus 2020 amendment

In 2019/2020 I was independent but, my mom accidentally claimed me as dependant on both my returns and hers we had them amended to change to say I'm independent, will I get my stimulus with my 2020 tax return? It says i will but i wanted to verify to make sure. Any Answer would but much appreciated.

Yes, if you could not be (and were not) claimed as a dependent by someone else in 2020, and you otherwise qualify for the stimulus payments, you will get a credit on your 2020 tax return.  According to the IRS "Eligible individuals who did not receive the full amounts of both Economic Impact Payments may claim the Recovery Rebate Credit on their 2020 Form 1040..."

 

The credit will either increase your refund, or decrease the amount of tax due on your 2020 tax return.
