I thought I E-filed both my Federal and state tax today, but when I went back to the file I see that you want to charge me for my State tax I bought aDeluxe version of Turbotax and only filed mt New Jersey tax. Why is there a charge?

Did you pay for the Online web version or buy the Desktop CD/Download program? How much is it charging you? It is 24.99 to efile a state return from the Desktop program or you can print and mail state for free.
This is my complain. I bought a copy of the Turbo Tax Premium from Costco. The back of the box shows that I will get up to 5 federal e-files for free and $19.99 for the state e-file. However, I filed two tax returns for me in California and my son in Massachusetts and was charged $24.99 for each of the state e-file (I already api extr for downloading a coy of the Turbo Tax software for MA . Turbo Tax should honor the price shown the back of the Turbo Tax box for both my state e-file for California and my son's state e-file for Massachusetts. Otherwise, I will consider to use a different software tax program for 2020 tax return.

Binh
Sorry the early discounted prices expired on Feb 29, 2020. March 1, 2020 there was a price increase. The CD box says prices are subject to change. The prices always change around March 1. So I try to file before then.
It also says on the back of my CD case in the comparison chart....
1 state product via download (print free or efile for $19.99 each) prices subject to change without notice.
