Some returns take longer to process than others and there is no rhyme or reason for it ... once the return is in the processing pipeline it can be stopped at any time for any reason (or no reason at all) for any amount of time and there is nothing anyone can do about it.
Check TT … if it says the IRS accepted the return for processing then they did … how long it will take to process and approve your refund is something only the IRS can answer: https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/
Checking the IRS site … no record found can be shown from time to time even if you enter everything correctly and this is normal. I will also be this way if you try unsuccessfully too many times in a row … then you are locked out for a day.
Sometimes people get confused by the “summary” given by TurboTax and use the wrong amount for the federal refund. Make sure you are only using the federal refund amount, and not an amount that combined your federal and state refunds.
Your federal refund amount is on line 35a of your Form 1040

TurboTax has no control over the IRS processing system. They do not receive any information from the IRS. after the return is accepted. The IRS has been backlogged for the past two years and returns are taking longer to process it especially takes long when you’ve claimed the recovery rebate and you actually did receive the stimulus payment or you miss calculated the child tax credit.
I filed mine, and my son's, return an hour apart... Both using TurboTax. That was 1/27/2022. My son recieved his refund by direct deposit in mid-Feb. My return is in IRS limbo. I don't think it has anything to do with which tax software was used to prepare the return.
I was informed in late Feb that the IRS is conducting random reviews of returns, is backlogged, and is understaffed due to the pandemic. But they say you can follow up with them after 21 days has passed. It's best to call as soon as they open in the morning, otherwise you'll either get a "high call demand" message, or be on hold for quite a long time. Good luck!
It has nothing to do with which tax software you used, but rather IRS's own procedures. Some filings take longer to process than others.
