SBTPG

My dd for federal was sent to my bank on @2/26 according to the IRS . I have received nothing in my account except my state return. I called Turbo Tax, and was told to contact this Santa Barbara Tax Preparer Group, but when I get to option 2 and enter my social they say that it is invalid and would not let me speak to anyone. How the heck do you speak to a live person at that place, I need my money.. you can bet I will never use this service again :(

You can contact them SBTPG, toll-free, at 1-877-908-7228 or go to their secure website www.sbtpg.com

Customer's who did a refund transfer and are looking for information on the status of their refund can use this link too: https://taxpayer.sbtpg.com/

😂They  don't answer the phone I have been calling all day. Their automated system and online says my ssn is invalid through email I was told they don't have an account for me . It's a big mess, and I appreciate your help but I definitely will not be using Turbo Tax again now I know how the third party bank does horrible business

Like KatrinaLO posted above, there may be a hold or if the IRS just sent your refund on 2/26 to Santa Barbara Tax Products Group, it has only been 4 business days. Once your refund status on the IRS shows "Refund Sent" it can take approximately 1 to 5 business days for the financial institution to deposit fund into your account. Now 1-5 business days is the timeframe the IRS gives, being sent directly to a account, so with the fee coming out in between, it is possible it could take a few more days.

So once Santa Barbara Tax Products Group receives your refund from the IRS, they will take out the fee and send to your financial institution.

You can track your refund at the Santa Barbara website by clicking here

If you are unable to reach them via phone, you can also send a request by clicking this link:  Submit a request – TPG - Taxpayer

Same thing happened to me!! I will definitely not be using turbotax again. I filed on February 02, 2020 and I still have not received anything except for a small portion of my IRS refund.. they didn't even deposit the total amount. Website says they can't find my account and you can't speak to anyone over the phone. Total nightmare.

Same thing has happened to me apparently.  I filed and my return was accepted by IRS on 4/7/20.

I tracked for months on the IRS website and finally saw that my refund had been processed on 7/20/20 and my refund had been "sent".  I discovered through an email that SBTPG had my refund (apparently because i chose to have my Quickbooks fee deducted) and they had my refund "on hold".  Their email said to access their website to clear up.  I did that and found that my account was "not eligible" - whatever that means.

No additional information was provided and i have yet to talk with a human.

I'm ready to proceed legally as my refund amount is significant and i have received absolutely NO HELP!

I found trying to contact SBTPG to be of absolutely NO HELP!  The phone number is simply an automated "spin cycle" and provides no help.  The website is equally as useless.

I found NO INFORMATION regarding next steps and meanwhile they have my substantial refund in their control.  This is a total scam.

I am in the same boat. What is the work around to this problem? Was anyone able to resolve the issue?
