I need help trying to understand what I can do to get TurboTax and TPG to release my refund. I have already talked with IRS and they claim they have sent my refund on April 21st. TPG says my account has "unusual activity". I have uploaded my driver's license to TPG's website as suggested, but I still did not hear back from them.
For context, TPG is apparently the partner company TurboTax uses when you select the "Pay my TurboTax fee with my refund" option. Have I known that is the case, I wouldn't go with this route.
The problem is TPG's customer service is not giving me any direct information. Their phone number does not lead to a human to talk to, and they flat out refused to give me a phone number to speak with someone when I asked through email.
Similarly, TurboTax representatives are completely uneducated when it comes to this "partner" company. And they keep suggesting I should call IRS.
Was anyone able to resolve this mess? I have read that people threatened TPG to lawyer up and had some success.

I am still trying to resolve this issue. I have called TurboTax again, and they are saying they cannot help. Santa Barbara TPG lists Green Dot as their parent company. I have called Green Dot as well, and they also said they are not able to help. I'd appreciate it if someone gives an idea about what other avenues I can explore.
I haven’t received my 2022 tax refund which was filed more than 10 months ago. The IRS processed and funded my refund and somehow my bank returned it. Over the course of 10 months I’ve filed Form 3911 with two different IRS agents. Completed Indemnity Bond forms for TPG with notary. TPG took 6 months to return the funds to the IRS and gave me a Green DOT yet the IRS still hasn’t received any funds from them what so ever. The IRS has submitted the case to BFS for an investigation. At years end “2022” TPG website no longer shows my refund on the site. TPG stated they’ve mailed a refund check which was never received. Website stated funds were direct deposited which my account shows it was rejected and sent back to TPG. Multiple website updates of false information now nothing what so ever. No to mention the hours of waiting on hold to speak to some incompetent agent with no answers.
