My returns were accepted but I entered incorrect DOB will that affect me later on or should I amend the tax returns ?

It depends on how far off the date of birth is, and if your return was really accepted.
Normally, your return will be rejected if you enter your date of birth wrong. The IRS computers match your last name and your date of birth to Social Security Adimistration (SSA) records. If it doesn't match, the return is rejected.
So the first thing you should do is to check that you return was really accepted and that you entered the wrong date of birth.
Sign in to your TurboTax account, and check to see that your return status is Accepted. If it's Rejected, select Fix Return, correct your date of birth, and re-file the return.
If you return is Accepted, select Print or preview my return, create a PDF and check the date of birth on your Personal Information worksheet. If it's really wrong, you need to contact SSA to get your records corrected. Follow this link for contact info.
You only need to amend your return if your date of birth error causes an error in calculating the return. For example if you are under 65, but the date of birth that you entered shows your are over 65, you need to amend the return.
Instead of the 28 I put the 29 as the date. Yes tax returns were accepted, can I still amend them or do you recommend amending them even though it is correct?
No, there's no need to amend your return for a one day error, but you need to contact Social Security and get your file corrected.
