Rejected Return

My 2024 return was rejected Stated  IND 181-01 code the  ID Protection Pin  was not put in I thought I had put it in I went back inti my return and  tried to put the code in However Turbo Tax would not go to that section I went ahead and put in for the mailing My question is Do I mail the IRS and the South Carolina forms in? Or will they both be automatically mailed in ? If I have to mail them what forms would I mail to the IRS and the State of South Carolina? Thank you

You don't need to mail the return. Follow the steps below to enter your PIN in to your return, and file it electronically if you want:

1. Open your return
2. Go to IP PIN
3. On the Identity Protection PIN screen, answer Yes. Select Add and enter your IP PIN in the space provided.
   • If you need to remove the IP PIN, select the trash icon
4. Select Continue, then select Done
