My returns were rejected because someone was claiming me as a dependent. They have amended their return removing me as a dependent. How do I go about resubmitting my return?

You will have to print and mail you tax return. The IRS will take 4 months or longer to process the amended tax return so you cannot e-file until the other tax return has been corrected in the IRS systems.

You will have to print and mail your return. The amended return that deletes you as a dependent will not be processed by the IRS for 16 weeks or so and even then you would likely not be able to efile your return.
