Nicole's return was rejected due to a statement saying her dependent children's social security numbers have already been used this year. She is the only one who has a legal right to claim her dependent children. How do we get this straightened out as their social security numbers are entered correctly in turbo tax????

Take a look at the following TurboTax article for some advice in your situation: What if somebody already claimed my dependent?
In general, if you (or your spouse) are the parent that is eligible to claim the child, but he/she has already been claimed, then you should file your return by mail. This will prompt the IRS to examine both tax returns and request additional information to determine which return was filed correctly.
You could consider filing your return without claiming your dependent and then amending your return later to add the dependent back. This would also prompt the IRS to examine both tax returns.
if a return was filed using any SSN on your return, your return will be rejected. there's no way to fix this. you'll have to mail in your return and include form 14039 in case of identity theft.
