I submitted taxes for my mother and father yesterday. I have their 2019 return (hard copy) in hand and entered the AGI from that in my current filing. When I do the signature page I am asked to enter a 5-diget e-filing PIN (you can make up any number) I have done so (new number) yet I am still getting the error message IND-031-04- The primary taxpayer's AGI or Self-selected PIN from last year does not match IRS records.
Knowing I have the AGI correct, how am I to get last year's PIN (I did file via Turbo Tax last year but did not save a PIN anywhere.
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
Try using 0 (zero) for the 2019 AGI instead.
I just tried this, and it worked!
