Rejected e-file

I submitted my taxes by E-file.  They were rejected and the reasons given were, the AGI was incorrect or the Pin # didn't match last year.  I had not E-filed last year.  So, when everything seemed to check I got concerned and printed them and mailed them in.  Then I got a notice of a Critical reminder to resubmit my e-file.  My question is, have I really messed things up of can this be corrected?  Thank You

If you have printed and mailed your returns, you will need to wait for them to be processed.  You do not want to e-file if you have already submitted a return.

Also, please keep in mind it takes four weeks at a minimum to process mailed in returns.  If you have any other questions, please post in the thread here for further assistance.  To track your return with the IRS, please see the link here.

"If you have printed and mailed them in, you will need to wait to see if they are Accepted or Rejected. "

What? There is no REJECTED of a paper filing. IRS has it and will put it on the pile to be processed.

Rather than printing and sending in your returns, you should have put zero as the answer to your last year's AGI.  I had the same hassle and found this suggestion in another post.  Genius!

That might have worked since I didn't e-file last year.  I wanted tovget them in so I panicked and mailed them off.  I will keep that in mind for next year. Thanks.

I used Turbotax last year and this year it was rejected for wrong AGI.  Checked and double checked, but the numbers were the same.  How can this be fixed???

That's what happened to me and I couldn't figure it out so I printed and mailed the returnd.  I'm just hoping it doesn't foul the process up.
