Yesterday I amended my federal and state tax return because I had forgotten to claim my state estimated tax payment from first quarter 2021. When I e-filed the amended return I received notice from Turbo Tax that the federal return had been rejected. It said:
--------------------------------
What happened
F1040X-016 - For each dependent in 'DependentDetail' on Form 1040-X, there must be a corresponding entry in the same position in 'DependentDetail' on the amended Form 1040 with the same 'DependentFirstNm' and 'DependentLastNm' and 'DependentNameControlTxt' and 'IdentityProtectionPIN' and ( 'DependentSSN' or 'DiedLiteralCd') and 'DependentRelationshipCd' and ( 'EligibleForChildTaxCreditInd' or 'EligibleForODCInd' ).
Next step
We'll help you get this updated on your amended federal return and e-file.
To update your return
Once you've opened your return in TurboTax, the details about what needs updating will be displayed.
From there we can walk you through making the updates you need and help you e-file your return. If it isn't possible to e-file your updated return, we'll make sure you have everything you need to print and file your tax return by mail.
------------------------
Later I received an e-mail from Turbo Tax saying the state had accepted my amended return.
This morning when I opened Turbo Tax it told me my return had been accepted and did not give me a details about what needed updating for the federal return nor any walk through of what to do.
Since the amendment only affected my state refund, and did not affect anything on my federal refund, my question is, do I need to worry that the Federal amended return was rejected, or can I just leave things as is?

As long as you only intended and needed to amend your state, you can disregard the notice regarding your federal return.
