I just filed an amended return to include my wife and file jointly instead of separate. I just got an email that it was rejected but I can not figure out how to fix it. The home page does not give me the option to fix it, it just shows rejected.

for 2024. I had filed in Jan 25 and filed separate and decided we needed to file jointly so that’s why the amendment.
Having the exact same issue, & the exact same amendment reason. Although our PIN was wrong, I have no way to fix the amendment & customer support is useless. Replying in case someone can actually help
Same... My state amended return was rejected with no option to fix it. Nothing works so far. @chestonriddle0246 any luck?
Okay so I figured it out. You actually have to click amend your taxes, then when it asks why you say my tax return got rejected & I need to fix it. It’s the last option. This must be a new way of going about things because I remember there just being a fix button. Hope this helps!
As provided by sunflowergal9, you can click amend your taxes and select your rejected return to open up the amended return for corrections. If you are still having issues after completing those steps, respond back here.
@BrittanyS thanks! I did find it using that option. However, there wasn’t anything to correct… My federal, New York, and New Jersey amended tax return have all been accepted. I’m wondering if South Carolina one is rejected because they don’t accept amended tax return via e-file. Do you know if they do? And if they don’t, how do I print out just the SC amended tax return on TurboTax? Thanks so much!!
TurboTax supports e-filing your amended return in the state of South Carolina.
If your return continues to get rejected, you will find instructions on this page to be able to print and file by mail.
