How much time it will take federal returns to direct deposit

If your return was electronically filed and you requested direct deposit for your refund, under normal circumstances the IRS states that 9 out of 10 refunds will be issued within 21 days after your return has been accepted for processing.  Due to the current pandemic situation, processing may be taking longer than normal. 

 

You can check the status of your Federal refund through the IRS Where's My Refund tool:  IRS -- Where's My Refund?

If your return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS can give you further information about why you have not received your refund.

    My refund is approved on Apr/22/2020 but I didn’t received my refund till now. Pls help me out

    Currently, refunds are taking a bit longer to process for many taxpayers.  Unfortunately, there isn't a solution available. 

     

    The IRS is working with limited staffing.
